Bruna Monteiro
Bruna Monteiro graduated in Biochemistry at the University of Minho in 2022. During her bachelor´s internship, at ICVS, used molecular biology techniques to study the molecular mechanisms underlying lung development, using the embryonic chicken lung as a model. Knowledge of these mechanisms is essential for understanding the pathophysiology of congenital or acquired diseases and for finding new therapeutic approaches to improve or treat these diseases.
In 2024, obtained her Master´s Degree in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto. In that time she acquired skills in analytical techniques such as HPLC-MS/MS when developed a thesis entitled “Elucidation of metabolites in coloured wheat grains (Triticum aestivum L.) by HPLC-Orbitrap-MS/MS” at the FoodPhenollab.
Currently, she integrated the WheatBiome project at LAQV-REQUIMTE as a research fellow. Her work aims to study the influence of many factors on attributes of wheat crops grown in different areas of Europe.
